For this 13,998 bottle release the Ardnamurchan team have brought together whiskies fully matured in sherry. First-fill PX and Oloroso hogsheads, butts and even a few octaves have all contributed to a decadent, rich dram with a succulent texture. A marriage of peated and unpeated spirit delivers serious complexity.
Nose : Murray mint, bonfire on the beach, salted peanut icecream, tomato stalks, Brazil nut and sundried tomatoes.
Palate: Tarry rope, bung cloth, smoky bacon, old tractor shed, peanut brittle, sticky spare-ribs.
Finish: Crashing waves, sea-salt, bothy fireplace and cigar shop.
