Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2013 is the eighth edition of unpeated, Islay grown single malt. 75% full-term first fill ex-American whiskey casks & 25% French ex-wine casks, having previously held Ribera Del Duero, Syrah and Pauillac wine. Fully traceable and high provenance with honeyed porridge and lemon meringue pie notes. The balance of those sweet ripe stoned fruit flavours with the vanilla, caramel and brown sugar notes of the oak is perfect.
