Irish whiskey from Co. Cork. matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in a combination of virgin American oak; and shaved, toasted, re-charred ex-red wine Bordeaux casks. The only Irish whiskey to be matured in these specialist casks. Non chill filtered. On the nose we have soft spices, vanilla, fresh cut grass, slightly perfumed, ripe apple/pear notes. Fresh leather tones. A long finish with cooking spices, lingering vanilla, warm spices – cubeb pepper and ginger. Fresh cut grass, hazelnut and almond notes.
