From Plantations vintage collection #2: Under the sea, this is one of a series of limited releases spotlighting the underwater fauna and flora of six different rum-producing countries. This limited release was distilled in Jamaica at Clarendon in a vendome double retort pot still after a 3-4 fermentation. Matured in the tropical climate in ex-bourbon barrels for 13 years, before being transported to France where it underwent a further 2 years of ageing in ex-Ferrand Cognac casks before being bottled in 2021. A fruity profile, aromas of cantaloupe melon, ripe guava and delicate spicy notes. Tons of intense banana on the nose with allspice, vanilla and orange peel with tar, sea spray and camphor.
