From Plantations vintage collection #2: Under the sea, this is one of a series of limited releases spotlighting the underwater fauna and flora of six different rum-producing countries. This limited release was distilled in Panama and matured in the tropical climate in ex-bourbon barrels for 12 years, before being transported to France where it underwent a further year of ageing in ex-Ferrand Cognac casks before being bottled in 2021. A rich smooth body of honeycomb, red apple and candied roasted hazelnuts with hints of toffee. Fruity and spicy aromas of peach, red berries, orange peel and nutmeg. Evolving to white pepper, custard, lemongrass and pear skin. A long finish notes of cigar box, allspice and chocolate notes with liquorice.
