An historic first aged release of Providence rum from Haiti’s Distillerie de Port-au-Prince. Distilled on 29th September 2019 from fresh sugar cane syrup, this pot still rum has been aged for 3 years in ex-Caroni rum casks so expect note of ripe pineapples, vanilla, citrus zest and oily tobacco. The distillery, one of the newest in the Caribbean, was founded by Herbert Barbancourt-Linge, a descendent of the Barbancourt family - famous for rum making in Haiti for over 150 years. Herbert has proudly revived pot distilled rum making in Haiti which had vanished in recent years.
