Pitch is the fourth single malt release from Holyrood Distillery's founding series.

Like their previous bottlings, Holyrood have experimented with yeast strains rarely used for whisky production. Pitch pairs Scotch pot malt and brown malt – most commonly used in dark porter beers – and ‘pitched’ two yeasts that are typically used when making red wine, Pepe Nero and Toro Nero.

Initially sweet and rich with stewed red fruit and spicy green peppers. Think chocolate and hazelnuts from the malt, with the yeast specially selected to boost the chocolate notes giving it a richer flavour. The chocolatey spirit is then matured in Oloroso casks dialling up nutty notes.
