Murphy's Irish Stout, a quintessential example of the dry stout tradition, was born in the centre of Cork, Ireland, in 1856. It pours a deep ruby-black with a thick, creamy head and a surprisingly gentle character, making it lighter and more approachable than some of its heavier counterparts.
