Gentle smoke, beautifully judged. An unpeated Lochlea single malt, matured in an ex-Islay cask for soft, sweet smoke layered over orchard fruit and creamy nutty depth.  Soft, sweet smoke - more embers than bonfire - before giving way to baked apples and creamy hazelnut richness. A gentle savoury note, reminiscent of a neighbour’s BBQ, adds depth without heaviness, while a flicker of sherbet sweetness lifts the palate through the finish.
