This release uses 100% unpeated Golden Promise malted barley, matured exclusively in ex-American bourbon barrels from 2018. Nose: Freshly opened milk chocolate digestive biscuits. Glacé cherries, lime cordial, a soft dusting of icing sugar on marzipan, apricot jam. Melted butter with acacia honey on sourdough toast. Salted preserved lemons. A whiff of long grass. Palate: Chewable, oily mouthfeel. The marzipan theme continues, with sugared almonds. More nuts:salted cashews and subtle pistachios. A gentle, creamy sweetness. Rich orange polenta cake. Baked cooking apples with fizzy lemonade. Peshwari naan filling.
