This release is a unique vatting of Derbyshire single malt matured in a combination of American and French oak, both first fill ex-bourbon and STR Casks (re-conditioned wine barriques that have been shaved, toasted and re-charred). These specialist casks add extra fruit depth and intensity to the lightly-peated spirit. Deliciously soft as sweet peat smoke aromas flow into green apple, vanilla fudge and honey on the palate. A soft oak smokiness infuses the fruity lemon, apple and honey evolution towards a beautiful finish. A masterclass in integration and subtlety.
