Il Palagio is the 350 hectare Tuscan estate owned by musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. Vermentino is towards Sauvignon Blanc in character, and is grown quite widely in Italy, particularly Sardinia and Tuscany. Sting and Trudie Styler have produced a thrilling example, with scents of white flowers and pears. In the mouth it is smooth and succulent, with creamy flavours of almond, grapefruit and peach, finishing off with salty minerality.
