This 27-year-old whisky, distilled in 1997 and matured in a refill hogshead, presents a rich and honeyed nose with layers of orange peel, salted caramels, earthy dunnage, hessian, and a hint of distant smoked meats. On the palate, it offers an intriguing mix of liquorice, Turkish delight, almonds, green bell peppers, and charred mango. The finish is fruity, funky, and impressively long-lasting, leaving a memorable impression.
