This single malt was distilled in 2016 at Dalmunach Distillery, located in the Speyside region of Scotland. Aged for 8 years in a Refill Barrel, bottled at natural cask strength of 49.1% ABV.
Bottled straight from a Refill Bourbon cask, this is the Thompson Bro's first bottling of Dalmunach and showcases a very delicious and textural house spirit. The label pays homage to the Imperial distillery, demolished in 2013 and features a bottle of Imperial 1996 that they released 5 years ago, meeting its unjust demise.
Only 340 Bottles have been produced.
NOSE: White grapes, strawberry and praline, apple crumble, slightly briney qualities, lemon tea, cantaloupe melon skin.
PALATE: Creamy and oil mouthfeel, cracked black pepper and lemon peel, brewer's yeast, porridge with honey.
FINISH: Textural with green apples and the last spoonful of milky porridge.
