While we cant tell you what this HIGHLAND distillery is, we can say a certain orkney distillery used to have wonderful labels like this. 19yr old from refill hogsheads this is a beautiful softly peated spirit, gently aged for 18 years in refill wood showing charred Hazelnuts, dusty peated malt/grist. Very powerful on the palate with sharp citrus, heather honey, stewed apples, minerality – salt, peanut brittle and wet slate. Some smoked ham, anchovies and capers in brine. Malty, Salty and moreish.
