A single cask Old Rhosdhu from 1994 which has spent the last 2 years of its life in a Madeira barrique, producing only 155 bottles. Oily, savoury, and wonderfully bizarre. The arrival is led by the sharp, dry warmth of black mustard seed and the soft, slightly oxidised sweetness of a bruised yellow apple. A splash of Rose’s lime cordial cuts through the mid-palate, before it shifts gears into a distinct, leafy green herbal territory defined by star anise and fresh tarragon.

Old Rhosdhu was an experimental single malt produced at the Loch Lomond distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Distilled using unpeated malt in unique "Lomond stills" (pot stills with rectifying columns), the brand was discontinued in 2000. It is highly sought-after by collectors and aficionados for its intensely fruity, waxy, and often polarizing "esoteric" character.
