A single cask of 125btls. Ex American oak reracked into a fresh refill bourbon cask for the last 2 years. Orchard fruits such as apples, pears along with a more concentrated sweetness like syrup from tinned fruit fill the nose. The taste neat continues the sweet theme with baked apple turnover that’s been coated with slightly burnt crystalised sugar on the crust, the syrup sweetness continues to prevail. With water more cereal notes develop, like walking through a barley and fruit farm. Images of Icing covered Victoria sponge come to mind as well. On the reduced palate it simply bursts with juicy fruits and sweetness with peaches joining in the array of flavours.
