A single cask of 174btls. Finished for 21 months in a 1st fill St Emillion wine barrique. The nose is like a bouquet of flowers, think lavender, purple roses, heather in full bloom with hints of parma violets, some dark fruits and liquorice behind. On the palate it remains floral but much more fruity now as well. Blackberries, raspberries and warmed Vimto with ‘Xmas spices’ (cloves, nutmeg). With water the floral notes are still prominent but with Ribena and lavendar honey coming through as well. However on the reduced palate the fruit explodes to the forefront. Ribena blackcurrants, red grapes, figs and blackberries. The finish lingers beautifully.
