Globally only 5604 bottles exist of this outstanding example from Deanston distillery. 17years old and finished for the last 2 years in Pinot Noir. The first time this type of cask has been used for Deanston in fact! Given that Pinot Noir grapes are good enough to make Champagne, that most regal of sparkling wines, Pinot Noir casks might be worthy of creating a finish for this soft and honeyed malt. Notes of vanilla, citrus and sweet white wine are delivered with a zing so zesty, you can practically hear them.
